also known as Misubishi Group of Companies or Misubishi Companies is a group autonomous Japaneses multinational companies covering a range of business which shares the Misubishi brand , trademark and legacy. The top 25 companies are also members of the Misubishi Kinyokai or "Friday Club", and meet monthly in addition the Misubishi.com Committee exists to facilitate communication and access of the Misubishi brand through a portal web site. Yataro Iwasaki was the first  who established the Misubishi as a shipping firm in 1870. The name was changed to Misubishi Shokai in 1873.
